A Oasis is Hiring a Field Superintendent Near Ferris, TX

A Oasis is a leader in the Swimming Pool and Spa industry and is currently seeking a highly qualified Field Superintendent to join our rapidly growing team! The Field Superintendent is accountable for delivering project phases on time and with impeccable quality and attention to detail, while upholding A Oasis’ standards for safety, project tracking, documentation, and handling jobsite interpersonal issues in an appropriate manner. The Field Superintendent will work directly with the Project Manager, client, crew members, subcontractors and office staff to ensure deliverability within the applicable schedule, scope, and budget.

Responsibilities & Expectations: 

  • Superintendents are critical in conveying information for each homeowner and are required to daily log each phase assigned to them on a daily basis. Each log will be upon arrival including photos and describe the work to be performed as well as a separate secondary completion log of what was completed including pictures of the finished scope of work for that phase. 
  • Supers will be working with PMs to ensure the project scope is completed as the plan indicates while providing direct oversight with the subs completing each task, if any changes occur, they are to convey that to the PM and anyone else as necessary.
  • Supers will be responsible for prioritizing and scheduling warranty work as needed for each phase they are in charge of and relaying those needs to the scheduling personnel. 
  • Supers are required to meet at the Ferris shop at 6:30am to work with the scheduler and Operations Manager to proactively schedule out each week of their work and ensure materials are in stock as needed to complete what is scheduled while forecasting the future work.
  • Supers are to serve as the main point of contact for subs when details are needed to ensure the best actions are taken on each project. Also, while confirming scheduled start dates for work to be completed the day prior with the scheduler and making them aware of any conflicts or changes needed.
  • Supers are required to communicate daily with the Project Manager and scheduler to keep the project aligned with their goals. This includes requesting inspections and collecting payments when necessary for each phase.
  • Supers are to perform quality control on each project throughout development to maintain our standards expected, cleaning sites and ensuring subs pick up after themselves on all jobs and remain respectful of the homeowner’s property. 
  • Supers are responsible to relay to the scheduler adjustments needed on schedules so that targets on the project are met and ensure the customer stays informed with their scheduling. 
  • Complete a ‘Daily Report’ and submit to the Operations Manager for every job one supervises. 
  • Dress professionally and have a maintained appearance, with 1 item on that has the AO branding.

Skills & Requirements: 

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma. AA or bachelor’s degree Preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license is required.
  • Prior experience in construction is highly preferred.
  • Ability to review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
  • Proficient in using and understanding frequently used computer software and programs, such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Organizational Relationships:

Classification Tyle: Full-Time; 40 hours per week

Reports To: Production Project Manager

Compensation: Salary - Based on Experience; commission opportunities

Job Location: Reports to supervisor in Ferris, Tx; majority of working environment is on job site. Monday-Friday with the exception of some Saturdays.
